#Where to start?

Hello! I am working on an exam review and I'm not quite sure where to start on this question. Was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction? I'm sure I could handle the problem as long as I find the right starting point. Question is in the image attached.

I believe I figured it out. Set the denominator equal to 0 to determine where the function is undefined to find A, then graph the function the answer the rest. Easy enough
