hmm I don't think this can be a line, since it's just one linear equation on the 3 spatial variables
should be a plane in R^3
But if you assume that it's a plane, then you can simply argue that the determinant gives a nonzero linear combination of x, y, z plus a constant that vanishes on all of those 3 points
