The only thing you have to understand is that 10 power n is 1 followed by n zeros
For example 10⁵ is 1 followed by five zeros: 100000
Then if you want to multiply something by 10 power n you just have to move the coma n times to the right
Example: 6.45 * 10000 = 64500
If the exponent is negative, it's the same but you move the coma n times to the left:
5.67 * 10-³ = 0.00567
