Hello, I am stuck at how to calculate the volume of a box where little info is given.
The box measurement is 500x700mm and the corners (x) are 50mm each, they are cut off.

Could someone explain how I do this or give an example?

Since you need to find the area of the box but the corners are cut off

#

You just need to subtract each corner from the length and width

So usually the volume is equal to base times height

#

We have the vase which is the area he calculated above

#

But you are missing height

#

The question didn’t tell us so idk what to do next

#

Maybe you should check the question again and see if you miss anything

That is why this question is difficult. This is all the info given..

#

You have to calculate the maximum volume of the box with just that info, no height given.

Maybe they had some tricky wording we missed
