You should be able to make private matches where the leader of the room can make custom rules for Example: there is only gold weapons in the map, or the item lvl cap is 8, etc. This would be fun because you can 1v1 your friends fairly without losing trophies or being 3rd partied. You can choose any game mode and map to play on!
