#Pets leaving farm for pats in mp

That's somehow cute! 👀 Thanks for bringing this to our attention @sleek root
Did they always follow you outside the farm every time you didn't pet/talk to them?
And are you the host of the session? 😮
I am not the host, Meegs is the host. This was the first occasion they had done it, and I haven't noticed them do it again. I had pet it, and it traveled out to find Meegs for her to pet it
I should add I'm on Xbox and she is on steam
Another time it’s happened, it seems to happen when the other player doesn’t pat the pet for 2-ish days
Noting that Meegs is the host and you're the guest! 📝
Are you the one who adopted the pet by any chance? And has it ever gone the other way, like have you ever skipped pats for a couple days and had them come wandering to you instead? 👀
Just trying to figure out if it's an ownership thing or just a "whoever hasn't given pats recently" thing!
I am yes, I adopted this particular pet, we're working on testing with the one she adopted. So Meegs had skipped patting the cat for about 2 days and we tested it again, and she was followed out of the farm
Next time we get on we can test the other farm exits to see if it will follow her out of the others
I can also try not giving it pats for a couple days and see as well
Oh, that's really helpful, thank you both for testing this out! The extra tests would be super useful too if you get the chance, no pressure though
We'll go ahead and relay everything you've shared so far to the team for them to look into further. We really appreciate you taking the time to dig into this! 🐾
We play practically every day, so we're absolutely down to test everything out to help you out anyway we can
That's awesome 🙌 Drop any findings here, and we'll keep passing them along to the team!
Two update with videos, Meegs’ lizard, Bottas, followed me out of the top exit of the farm
And Russell, the cat that kicked this off, got a stuck when trying to go out the bottom exit
Wooa, these are super helpful! Thanks a lot for taking the time to reproduce this and share the videos, both of you.
