Stuck after eating Stamina Fruit

I ate a Stamina Fruit and I couldn't move after that. I was only capable of dashing in front of me and now I'm stuck in this rock

Waiting for the day to pass. It's getting darker

I'm on the next day so my progress is saved (thank god) but I'm still not able to move, I'm only able to dash forward. I'm going to restart the game now

As you can see on my screenshots, I was not able to see the current hour, the weather or anything. I guess I was stuck at the end of the eating animation ?

If possible, could you record the full steps when it occurs so we can take a closer look? Also, please share your save and backup files if you can, that would really help us investigate further. You can find them by copy-pasting this path into your Windows Explorer:
%localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames

Please compress the SaveGames folder into a ZIP file before sending it over.

Issue Description:
I know it wasn't me who created this thread, but I just had the exact same bug where my controls were completely disabled. The game softlocked right before the last message after eating the fruit.

Context & Situation:

I was underwater, clearing the garbage on Lima Pulu (50m).

My character was very tired (low stamina).

I ate the fruit I got from the museum's 200 donation count reward.

Kible was with me, and I had his dialogue option disabled.

Actual Result:
The game gets stuck and character controls become unresponsive. The only input that still works is pressing ESC to open the pause menu (which allows me to select Resume, Load Game, Settings, Return to Title, or Quit to Desktop).

I am having the same issue. Bought the stamina fruit from the town hall, now I can only dash downwards and was stuck. I've quit the game since I was worried if I let the day pass, my controls would still be stuck.

Could you let us know if you were spam-clicking before eating the stamina fruit, or did it happen with just a normal click?

Ok so I tried again today and it didn't break this time. I am unsure how to replicate the bug.

Regardless, here is my save on the day when the bug originally happened.

I didn't spam any buttons before or during the eating animation. I just used a normal button press and waited for the prompt to appear before confirming it.

When the animation ended, nothing happened. The expected message confirming the permanent stamina increase never showed up, and the game softlocked. Only after it got stuck did I go crazy spamming the controller buttons trying to fix it, but I eventually gave up and reloaded my save file.

Heyaa, I'm also one of the teams and thanks for trying it again and sharing the save file with us 🙌 and noted this doesn't happen again. If you don't mind, do you remember what you were doing from when you woke up until you ate the stamina fruit that got you stuck for the first time? 😮

Well... let's see... I took care of the farm in Winter, talked to some villagers, opened/processed some treasure and fossil remains, went to the museum to turn stuff in, and shipped some fossils and artifacts.

After that, I disabled Kible's messages before going underwater, then went directly to Lima Pulu (50m) to gather Osmium Kelp until my stamina got dangerously low. Finally, I ate the fruit... and that's it.

Oh yeah, one more important detail: I had Steam Input enabled during that session. For some reason, the game wasn't working with my controller initially, and it only responded when I turned that option on.
