Nope! Any guesses are entirely speculative.
What's the Pokyo update?
Back when the Kickstarter concluded, Island Hopping was one of the stretch goals - the Pokyo update is likely to be the implementation of this feature! And for the uninformed; Pokyo is where the player character used to live!
What about the jealousy system/manual save/other future features?
Manual Saves will still be coming in 1.3! As for other stuff, we don't currently know! It may fall under 1.3's quality of life improvements, or it may take longer and be one of the ???'s in the roadmap.
