Unable to load/host my co-op save.

Reproduction Steps: Bug/Crash occurs when attempting to load co-op save from the main menu.
Repro Rate: Happens every time I attempt to load the save. The only fix seems to be to verify the integrity of my game files - but the very next time I play the game, it happens again. Currently, I'm stuck in a loop of verifying integrity, play for 6-ish hours, close the game, re-open later to the same bug which leads me to verifying again.
In-Game Date & Time: The bug has not occured in-game so far, and only seems to be triggered on start-up.
Players & Platform: I am hosting a two-player game via Steam/PC for myself and my partner (who is also on PC, using the same wifi/ethernet connection as myself).
Game Version: v1.2b-1246
Input Mode: Keyboard & Mouse
PC Specs:
Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor (3.40 GHz)
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.9 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Graphics Card

Unable to load/host my co-op save.

I have also had this issue occur when trying to load my co-op save! I restarted my game three times and it gave the same error, but upon waiting "like 3 minutes" and launching a fourth time it worked no issues. ( I have only had this issue today, I have not had to verify steam files)

I also encountered this issue the first time I tried multiplayer on Steam. I experienced it recently on March 18, 2026, and I still haven’t found a solution 😩

Sorry for the delayed response!

My partner and I have been playing on this co-op save since the 2nd of March. The first time the crash happened was probably around a week ago, I think? In-game, we are at Fall 20/Year 1.

Could you try syncing the time on your PC? Some players were able to resolve the issue this way here https://discord.com/channels/623097219628662784/1429733465720619079.

You can do it by going to

• Start, then Settings, then Time & Language, then Date & Time
• Make sure “Set time automatically” is turned on, then click “Sync now.”
