So I am back and I noticed two issues with the CTRL button.

When I hold it down and try to walk, the character gets frozen in the direction they were looking before pressing. you can still walk but you can't turn around (makes catching bugs VERY difficult). I also noticed that if you hold down the button and then try to use the bug net (It ONLY affects the bug net), you will get the popup "cannot use item here" which also makes catching bugs difficult 😅.

Reproduction Steps: hold CTRL button while trying to move (1) and have a bug net in your hot bar, try using the bug net while holding the ctrl button (2).
Repro Rate: Every time you press and hold CTRL.
Game Platform: steam

After checking with the team, this is actually intended behavior. When using strafe mode, you won’t be able to change direction or turn around.

Regarding the bug net you mentioned, I’ll relay it to the team for further checking and will get back to you if we need any additional info. Thanks again! 🙌

Thank you but I do have a question. If it's intended behavior, how are you supposed to catch bugs?

I played maybe a year or two ago and I didn't have this much issue sneaking up on bugs 😅

Actually. Now that I think about it.. It was probably a thing. Just that I didn't have an issue with it

You actually don’t need strafe to catch bugs, btw! Just press Shift to switch from sprint → jog so you move slower with the bug net 🏃‍➡️

Or if you don’t want to break any sweat, you can just use the ground insect trap and let it do the work 😆
