Unable to give Jim his Salmon

I have a quest which is to give Jim a salmon - but every time i try and follow the instructions of the time to give it; it just says to 'gift' it. Is this a known bug?

you not actually supposed to "give" it to him. it's a heart event. you just need to have it in your inventory and go to the correct place
