I'm playing on PC via Steam and have had the game for years. I had gotten my mastery levels almost fully completed - just waiting on Ranching (currently lvl 9) and Fishing (currently lvl 8). I've troubleshooted myself and realized I had automated all of my ranching processes, but even when I removed my auto-collectors my ranching XP didn't increase at all. And I've been trying for several seasons with multiple days spent just catching fish to raise my fishing XP, with no difference in XP.

Hi hi @errant oyster, when you removed the auto machine, how long has it been since then and you still haven’t received the Mastery XP at all? 😮

It was just a day, and then I put it back since I figured it wasn't worth the extra work. I'll look into sharing my save file, thank you!! I'll also try playing another few days tonight and see if taking it away longer affects anything!

Ahh noted! And yep, if you play a few more in-game days and notice that Ranching still isn’t giving you any XP, feel free to let us know 😊

Hey hey, turns out it worked when I played yesterday!! Not sure whether I just didn't notice it before or if it started working. Also, if the XP only increases overnight and not throughout the day, that might be a reason why I thought it wasn't working? But regardless, I now have lvl 10 ranching and my fishing level has increased to 9, so both are definitely working! Thanks for looking at my save though and taking the time to chat with me about it 🙂
