Unable to interact with tablet on level 40 of earth mineshaft

-go down to 40th floor, cutscene from elevator plays as usual - I approach the tablet or whatever you want to call it, it briefly gives the "right click to interact" message. I right click and...nothing happens. Repeatedly. It has been/remains broken continuously. I tried saving and starting next day to see if it would let me do it then. Nada. (Right click is working otherwise - I can interact just fine with torches, enter the cavern etc)

Input Mode is keyboard/mouse

Yep, without an offering you can’t continue the story.
The easiest to complete is the essential resources.

I avoided the mines in my first file for the longest time so I had no clue

No problem, since all story is connected without a goddess blessing (you receive it after making one offering) you can’t free the giants and get into merfolk kingdom.
