#crash when loading summer 16

Reproduction Steps: whenever the day changes to summer 16 the game crashes to the desktop
Repro Rate: 100% if that file is loaded however is i load a back up it loads fine but will crash upon turning to the 16th
Game Platform: Steam

Hello @opaque sinew Thanks for reporting this, and we’re really sorry you ran into this issue.

Just to confirm, if you don’t do anything and simply go to sleep to save the game, does the issue still happen?

Also, have you tried verifying your game files on Steam to see if the issue persists afterward?

yes it only happens in this save as i played in a different one and i was able to do 5 full days with no issue and yes after verifying it still ctd

Could you please share your Backup folder in a ZIP file here as well? You can find it inside the same folder as your DailySave file.

Also, do you happen to remember what you were doing on Summer 15 before the issue started?
If you load your Summer 15 backup and just go straight to sleep to advance to Summer 16 (without doing anything else), does it still crash?

yes it still happens even if i just go straight to sleep no i didn't remember what i was doing previously before its on one of my older saves

We took a closer look at your save file and noticed some values that aren’t normally possible in regular gameplay (like the amount of money at this stage). That’s why we asked about mods earlier.

Since you mentioned you’ve used mods before, even on a different playthrough, there’s a chance they may have affected this save as well, which could be why it won’t load.

Unfortunately, since mods aren’t officially supported yet, we’re not able to assist further with this case. We’d recommend reaching out to the mod creator directly for help.
