Crashing multiple times a day. The game freezes and crashes no matter what I do. It crashes before a day has even passed, for no reason. Sometimes I just pause the game to do something else for a moment, and when I come back, it's frozen and crashed. I'm very discouraged by this game. I still want to play because I just recently started again.
I've verified game files and uninstalled and reinstalled or make new save. However, the crashing has resumed and I can't get through a single day without crashing. There is no apparent trigger for crashing as the crashing has happened during different times of day and doing different thing often does the issue occur?

Hi there @wide haven , we're so sorry to hear that you keep experiencing multiple crashes and freezes during your gameplay. We completely understand how discouraging it must feel, especially when you just got back into the game and genuinely want to keep playing. That’s the last experience we want you to have 😔
To help us look into this properly, could you let us know if this only happens in Singleplayer or also in Co-Op? And just to confirm, does the crash always happen after the game freezes for a bit first? We’ll do our best to figure this out with you 💙
Single player and yes it's always happen after the game freeze
I try to restart or shutdown the computer so
Got it, thanks so much for confirming! 🙏 About how long does the freeze usually last before the game crashes?
Also, would you mind sharing your crash log so we can take a closer look? You can grab it by copy-pasting this into your Windows Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\Crashes. Then sort by date, open the most recent folder, and attach the .xml file here. That’ll really help us dig into what’s going on.
The freeze less than 1 minute
Thanks for sending in the file! Could you please try to change the graphics card used to the High Performance one for Coral Island?
Here are the detailed steps:
- Type "Graphics Settings" in the Start menu
- Click Desktop App
- Select the Coral Island application
- Click Options
- Set the Graphic preference to High Performance
Keep us posted on how it goes! 😊 If you’re still running into the same issue, don’t hesitate to let us know—we’re here to help!
It's happened again.
I see, thank you for trying it out! Because you received a D3D crash log, it likely points to the graphics driver or power-management.
Could you try a clean reinstall of the NVIDIA driver (choose Custom → Clean Install during setup) and make sure Windows and your BIOS/firmware are fully updated?
Other players have also noted improved stability after adjusting the game to use DirectX 11. If you're open to trying it out, you could try the steps below:
- In Steam, right-click Coral Island → Properties.
- Under General, find Launch Options and type: -dx11
- Close the window, restart Steam, and launch the game.
Let us know how it works for you! If it still doesn't work out, we'd be happy to assist you further 🙇♂️
Im playing the game about two hours and I think it will be fine now. Thank you for helping me and have a nice day 💖
