Winter year 2 beginning weeks.

So im sure im not the first nor will I be the last to report these particular crashes. It seems the first two weeks of winter year 2 tend to be very crash pron.

First I need to state i play on ps5 so its hard to say for sure if it is just console that is having these issues and it is the most recent major update version with no mods.

The problem with them is that the triggers and consistency in which the crash occurs is completely random.

Once I made it through most of the morning then decided to go buy some cloths and as soon as the clothing menu opened the game crashed.

Another time I was in the mines and just broke open the way down and it crashed.

Even once i had made it through the whole day and as the tallies where totaling it crashed.

I think it has somthing to do with the graphical fidelity and how much it drops when loading in so much as once. Its an unfortunate downside of having such a huge map all loaded in at once without and transition screens. So the more the map has the harder it will chugg.

Anyways just thought I would make this report.
Love this game and want to see it succeed on all platforms not just pc.

Hello @hardy plume Thanks a lot for sharing this with us! To help us dig into it further, could you let us know:
Does the crash repeat at the same moment after reloading, or does it feel unpredictable?
Do you notice any performance drops right before the crash?

It is unpredictable. Never the same moment or during the same activity. As far as performance only where I open the clothing store or the decoration store.

Could you let us know what you were usually doing when the crash happened (shop, mines, sleeping, opening menus, festivals, etc.)?

If you’re experiencing performance issues, a short recording would really help us. And if possible, a quick video right before the crash would be super helpful too.

Once when I was shopping at the clothing store.

Once when I was in the mines.

Onece as the final tallies where being totaled.

Times where sporadic and unpredictable.

Not so far. Its been alot smoother. I haven't had a crash yet but if I do I will be sure to let you know.
