Hello @final mist thank you for reaching out to us!
Quick check: have you tried verifying your Steam files yet, and does the issue still happen afterward?
And just to double-confirm, are you using any mods or third-party tools?
Feel free to update us anytime—happy to help you troubleshoot this!
No mods and how do you verify a steam file?
Hi, thanks for confirming! 🙌 I'm also part of the team.
Here's the steps to verify your Steam files:
Open Steam → go to your Library → right-click Coral Island → click Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.
After that, kindly try to open the save again to see if the issue persists.
Also, just to confirm — did you change your outfit or body at the salon shortly before the issue started? 😮
Okay files have been verified and the eyes appear to be fine now. I noticed the eyes when I woke up after the new years in game. I did marry 2 days before the last day of year one. I didn't change my outfit or anything at the Salon until after I noticed the eyes looked weird. I did notice at the time though the eyes would seem to fix when I put a hat on in the closet or clothing store but as soon as I left those menus the eyes would break agaon.
The wedding and cutscenes related to marriage were the only new things
it has happened again but i don't know what triggered it. I haven't done anything but my usual daily routines. no outfit or body change
Thanks for the detail!
You mentioned that when your character wears the hat, something happens with their eyes — do you have any video of that?
If you can share it, that would really help us understand what’s going on.
i do not. and yeah sometimes but ive noticed its not connected i really don't know why it happens just at somepoint in playing i notice my eyes look a dark from a distance and when i check my inventory theyre black. I've tried many things to trigger it but it appears to just happen after a few days in game
the only thing the hat seems to do is fix it in the clothing menu but leaving it the eyes go back to the error texture. I wish i could provide more information but its so random when it happens. I don't change my routine (Wake up, talk to spouse, kiss and hug spouse, interact with pet, check tv, pet farm animals check crops, grab artisan goods start new batch then its one of 4 activities: fishing, bug catching, diving, or mining.) its never the same amount of days either it can be as little as one sleep or a whole in game week before it will happen
Could you share your device Could you share your device specs (CPU, GPU, RAM, HDD/SSD, etc.)? You can follow this guide to check them: https://techguided.com/how-to-check-your-computer-specs/
Also, could you share a screenshot of your display and in-game display settings? It'd help us a lot, thanks in advance
I can when I get home yes
cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with Radeon Graphics (3.30 GHz)
gpu: AMD Radeon TM graphics and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
ram: 16gb total 15.3gb usable
system type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
here is the settings i don't know what you mean by screen shot of display?
Thanks for the screenshot!
Could you please check whether your PC has any pending driver updates?
If you’ve already updated them, does the issue still persist afterward?
ive played a few times for several hours and it hasnt happened in the past few days and no pending driver updates. i haven't been able to trigger it even by changing clothes or appearance.
