• Reproduction Steps: I got the upgrade from the carpenters in the earliest phase of the game. The next morning, I waited for the game to save before shutting it down. When I opened it the next time, all my furniture was gone.
• Repro Rate: I can’t say if this has happened multiple times; it certainly didn’t change back to how it was supposed to be.
• Game Platform Steam)
• Game Version: v1.2b-1245
• Input Mode Keyboard and mouse
• Your save file: The method described for Windows doesn’t work on Linux.

Hello @near orbit Thanks for letting us know !

Just to help us check this properly, could you tell us what furniture went missing after the house upgrade?
If you remember, knowing which items (and roughly how many) would be super helpful.

Also could you send your Save File and Backup Files here so we can take a closer look? To retrieve the files, you can copy-paste the following file path into your Windows Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames then compress the SaveGames folder into a ZIP file before sending it heregoatlove2

Is this the same one I tried previously, the one that didn't work? Or did you make a new one for Linux?

As for the vanished items - I had just finished the mandatory quest with the carpenters, the one where the house gets bigger etc. Saved the game, turned it off, and when I loaded it up again, the upgrades were gone. The quest is still marked as complete, though.

Thanks, I'll give that a try!

I can't find it - could the fact that it's a family-shared game have something to do with that? although I should have a local save file, I think...

Still haven't found anything. If I go into properties, it only says that the game was saved to the steam cloud.

Ahh, got it! Could you let us know whether you’re playing as the Host or Guest? Also, after the house upgrade, which of the four doors did you enter? That info will really help us narrow things down.

For future reference, we also have a dedicated channel just for Co-Op bug reports here: https://discord.com/channels/623097219628662784/1405384975137898524 . If you happen to run into any other Co-Op issues, posting them there helps the team track and address them more efficiently. No worries though—we can keep working through this issue right here for now 😉

Ah, I didn't see that one. I'm the host, and I don't remember any doors. I remember checking the wardrobe, but didn't interact with any other things. I also told my sister-in-law - who recommended the game to me - that all my furniture had vanished, and she replied that she had the same issue back in early access.

Thanks so much for sending over your save file and the video—we really appreciate it!

It looks like we’re not able to access the video from the file you shared, though. Would you mind uploading it to a cloud service like Google Drive or Dropbox and sharing the link with us so we can take a look? Thanks so much approve2

I'll give it a try. I'm honestly not familiar with this file name, either 😅

Thank you for resending the video! We've taken a look at it and your Save File, and it looks like you ended up going into the wrong house. Just to clarify, when you’re playing in Co-Op mode, each player is assigned their own house, and any upgrades you make will only apply to your specific part of the house.

The house you slept in was actually an empty home, since there isn’t another player currently active in that session. We’ve attached a couple of images for reference.

Do you happen to remember sleeping in another house? That could explain why you woke up in the empty home. But if you don’t recall going to sleep elsewhere, it’s possible a bug is causing you to wake up in a different house than the one you slept in.

We tried testing that scenario on our end, but weren’t able to reproduce it. If it happens again for you, could you update us and let us know what activities you were doing that day? That way, we can get a clearer idea of the steps to replicate it and help track down the issue. Thanks so much for your help! approve2

Fascinating. Didn't realise that. I'll give it another try tonight.

So, I know understand what happened. I didn't realise there were four different houses inside one building. I was taken to "my" house. Being a creature of habit, I always used the same door. After the upgrade, I was inside the house with furniture. I saved the game and turned it off. When I started it up again, and left the house, I did notice I'd come out through another door, but dismissed that. When I came back home, I went in through the door I'd always used, and thought it had reverted to how it had been before the upgrade.
TL;DR: My brain didn't clue in on the fact that there were four doors leading into four different houses inside one building.
Thanks for your help, I now understand what went wrong.
