Group Cutscenes

I'm hosting on xbox, friend joined on ps5 and he is getting all the story related cutscenes whereas I am seeing none of them at all

Just to help us understand this better, could you describe it a bit more?
For example, does this mean you haven’t received any story-related cutscenes at all since you started playing in multiplayer?

Thank you for the response, yes I haven't seen any story related cutscenes but my co op partner has seen 2 so far. The main one as you enter the town and another as you enter the general store

Just to double check — does this also mean you didn’t get any cutscenes when completing quests, like the Petrified Giant quest or other similar ones?

If the issue still happens, could you please send us a screenshot or short video showing the cutscene your friend gets while you don’t?
That would really help us narrow down which specific cutscene is affected.

We haven't completed any quests yet, I was too worried about continuing in case it required us starting a whole new game

I cant really send a video as my character just continues to move around freely while theirs is stuck still as theyre seeing the cutscene. Time freezes for me though and then jumps to a new time once they come out of the cutscene

The 2 cutscenes it has happened with so far are the ones where you first enter the town and Karen talks about pufferfish's plans, and the one where you enter the general store to meet Sam I think his name is? I entered the shop first, no cutscene. My friend entered about 2 minutes later, cutscene. My friend entered the town area first and I watched his character freeze, he said he was in a cutscene and I was right behind him so continued moving but nothing triggered for me
