Just started playing the game and cant get past the start of it. Every time I go to the Carpenter to upgrade the house, at the end of the dialogue i cant exit it. Ive restarted it, re-downloaded it, started a new world, and tried online.

Got it, thanks for letting us know! Could you tell us if the issue only happens when you upgrade your house, or if it also occurs when building other types of farm buildings?

Also, if you’re able to replicate it, would you mind recording a quick video and sending it here so we can take a closer look? Thanks in advance laugh2

It happens anytime i try to talk to other npc’s. And the roaming ones. I havent tried building anything yet but i will try. At the end of the dialogue, when it has the down arrow instead of the bubbles, it wouldn’t let me out of the dialogue.

Would it be ok if i sent it in the morning?

Of course—that’s totally fine! You’re welcome to send it in the morning or whenever it’s most convenient for you. We really appreciate you taking the time to help us look into this 😉

When you do record the video, would you mind including the part where you purchase the upgrade as well? That way, we can see the exact steps you took before interacting with any townie. Thanks in advance Duck_Saluting_Emoji

A little explanation before i send the clips i made: i started the game and went to a created world, looked through my settings to show what i changed and have set already then decided to start a new world and go through the whole process again. The times where you see the down arrow i am spamming X before holding square to skip. Also forgot to include i went through the inventory space so yall knew thatcwas working perfectly too.

And it is 6 clips

Thanks so much for sending in the video and for taking the time to test this on a new save file—we really appreciate the effort! Llama_Saranghae_Emoji

Just to check, have you always selected the same house style (Style 3) during the upgrade, and if so, have you tried choosing a different house style to see whether you still get stuck in the dialogue afterward? 😲

Youre welcome. Yeah, i usually just select the first one, that was my first time selecting a different house style to see if the outcome would change.

I follow the same routine. I haven’t tried other house styles yet.

I could skip holding the square.

Got it, thanks for letting us know! When you have a moment, would you mind trying a different house style and recording the attempt, just to see if the dialogue still gets stuck afterward?

Im pretty sure it will happened with more than one NPC if i tried to talk to them.

And could you confirm if the dialogue happened after you got stuck in the carpenter dialogue? 😲

It was near the Carpenter store and it happened after i reopened the game and i tried to see what would happen if i talked to a roaming npc

Not necessarily, but that is when i first spotted it. Im pretty sure it happens with all npc’s, for me at least.

I didn’t know that had to be a key bind. I thought it was for something else.
