You can buy a ring at blacksmith and gift it to another player, and after that you’ll get married in 3 days.
You can have babies, but it’s RNG when it happens. Need an upgraded house for that.
You’ll still have different houses, but can sleep at each others’ at any point. The spouse room that usually opens is closed.
