The game frequently disconnects and returns to the main menu when ending the day in multiplayer, resulting in lost progress. This happens randomly despite stable wired internet connections. When the host is returned to the menu, no error message is shown, while on my side an error message appears. The issue worsened significantly after the start of autumn and is now often accompanied by frequent game crashes. I hope this problem will be addressed in a future bug fix.

Hey @stoic sail Thank you for reaching out to us! Could you let us know which platform are the Host and Guest playing from (Steam PC/Deck, Xbox PC/S/X, PlayStation 5)?
Steam PCs users both
Same issue for me on PS5, we are both wired in the same house. We don't have these issues with any other game. Also started frequently when we got to Autumn year 1.
Thank you for sharing.
Hello @uneven frost @stoic sail Could you let us know whether you're using a LAN cable or Wi-Fi? Have you tried resetting your router to see if it helps resolve the issue?
LAN cable for both ps5’s and I did reset my router. We are 3 days into winter year 1 and we can’t play without multiple disconnects resulting in us giving up.
Both of us are connected via wired internet. We have already restarted the router. The only workaround that helps so far is skipping the day on which the disconnect occurs and continuing to play until another problematic day happens. We both lowered the graphics settings to medium and set an FPS limit, which reduced the number of crashes. We were trying to find a pattern, and this seemed to help.
Thanks for confirming! Have you tried using a different connection, like a mobile hotspot, or connecting with different people to see if the issue still happens?
Thank you for let us know! Thanks for the update — that’s really helpful!
Just to clarify a few things:
- When you mentioned skipping the day, do you mean going straight to sleep to pass that day and then continuing normally afterward?
- After doing that, about how many in-game days usually pass before the issue shows up again?
- You also mentioned setting an FPS limit helped reduce the crashes — do you remember what FPS value you set it to?
- Have you tried using a different connection, like a mobile hotspot, or playing with different people, to see if the issue still happens?
We really appreciate you taking the time to test different things and look for patterns — that info helps us a lot while we look into this
By skipping the day, I mean going to sleep immediately.
Each time, the disconnect occurred after a different number of in-game days. After changing the graphics settings and applying an FPS limit, we were able to play for around 10 in-game days without any disconnects.
Previously, the FPS limit was set to 120; it is now set to 60.
Unfortunately, we do not have the option to use different network access points or test the issue with other players.
Thanks for the details! Lowering the FPS limit and graphics settings seems to help, and we’ll pass this info to the team for reference.
If the issue comes back or you notice anything else, feel free to let us know. Thanks for the report!
