"Machine being used by other player" message

So I don't think this is supposed to happen...but I'm trying to destroy these Kilns to move them, and every time I do, it says I can't because the machine is being used by another player. My friend was making coal before this, but even after collecting it all, it still says it's being used and I'm not able to destroy it. I even tried moving them on the architect desk, but when I went to select them, nothing happened.

Below I've attached my save file and a photo of the message. Some additional information:

Reproduction steps: Try to destroy a machine after a friend has used it
Repro rate: All the time
Players and Platform: 2 players total and we're both on steam
Game Version: 1.2b-1245

By any chance, are you playing as the host or as a guest?

If your friend tries removing the kiln, does the issue still happen?

My friend tried breaking it as well and got the same message. However, after switching to her axe, she was able to pick up the kilns, and I tried to do the same and it worked! So maybe it's just an issue with the pickaxe?

Just to confirm, did you both place your pickaxes in the same chest at any point?

Also, did you notice if there was any chance your pickaxes might have been swapped?

I've never put my pickaxe in a chest, so I don't think so? I could try switching our pickaxes to see if that does anything the next time we play, but I'm not sure when that will be, so I apologize! But I can still update you here whenever we get around to it 🙂

Do you happen to have a video showing when the issue occurs and then when switching your pickaxe resolves the issue?

Okay, so I got videos! My friend gave me her pickaxe so I tried using that one to break the kilns, but that didn't work either. I think it might just be an issue with pickaxes in general and not whose pickaxe you're using.
I got one particularly showing the issue happening, one showing it still happening later in the day, and then I got another showing the issue still occurring while using my friend's pickaxe. I hope this is what you were looking for and that it helps solve the issue! 🙂 Let me know if you need anything else!

Could you please confirm whether this issue happens with all Artisan Machines, and whether they can only be removed using a axe?

I'm not sure if it's with all artisan machines, all I know is that it has happened with another machine before, but I can't remember which one. 😓 Me and my friend plan to play again soon, so I'll update you on that once I know for sure!
Also, yes, the machines can only be removed using an axe. It's when we use the pickaxe that it tells us another person is using the machine still and we can't do anything with it.

@vital loom Me and my wife had exactly the same issue yesterday but with the slime duplicating machines. If either of us hit those machines with a (osmium) pickaxe we got the "machine being used by other player" message. But when we hit them with an (osmium) axe they were removed normally. It was first time we've seen such message (it's spring year 3 in our game).
