Will pets do other things outside of just standing outside my house in a pile?

Sorry if this has been brought up (more than once more likely..) but I notice that no pets use the outside house nor do they roam around town or do anything outside of stand idly outside the farmhouse and it makes me sad. 🙁 I hope I can get an answer! TYSM
