#Crash when trying to make a new game or load a file

For some more information, I recently changed computers. The game ran fine on my old computer and still does, but this happens on my new one. I never made a singleplayer or coop save file on my old computer, so I am not sure if this would also happen there, because I used my old computer to join a friend's coop save only. When I tried joining that same save on my new computer, nothing would happen either, and if I tried typing in the invite code, it would tell me "Session not found," so I am not sure if these two issues are related or not

Have you tried reinstalling the game or verifying the integrity of the game files to see if the issue still happens?

You can verify the files by right-clicking the game in your Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files.

Hello @rare haven @pine dune,

When you have a moment, could you please follow the steps below:

  • Open your Steam Library and right-click Coral Island.
  • Select Properties… from the dropdown menu.
  • In the left-hand menu, click Beta.
  • Enter the following code when prompted: Encounter2Cosponsor3Lake0Enviable3Subside1
  • Select the urgent_testing branch from the dropdown.
  • Close the Properties window and let the game update.

After that, could you try loading your save file or starting a new game and let us know if it still crashes?
Also, please try clicking the Block List in Settings and see if that causes a crash too.

Hi, thank you for your efforts and help! I just got the chance to try this out, but it seems I am still getting a crash both when I make a new save and when I click the Block List. I have attached the crashlogs again for your information.

Hi, thank you for all your help! I just tried making a new save and everything seems to be working! Just to check, I tried opening the block list again and it still seems to crash when I open the block list, but otherwise the game is working, so thank you! I haven't gotten the chance to try multiplayer, because that is how I normally play, but I'll get back to you when I do. Thank you again!

Just a quick heads-up though, since this is a build that we only open for testing specific cases, you’ll need to wait for a proper fix in a future update to play normally 🥲
