Pet gifts

I have 3 pets and on year 3 and have not been offered any pet gifts. I speak to them all every day every time it is available and have multiple hearts with each of them. I’m not sure if this is a bug or I am doing something wrong or maybe it’s just random.

Do you happen to remember which in-game season or year you adopted all of your pets? 😮

Since the pet gift feature was added in a recent update, could you also let us know how long you’ve been playing in-game since then and how long you’ve waited for them to give you a gift (for example, about a week or a season)?

I started a new save after the last major update and I think I adopted all 3 within the first game year. I have spoken to all 3 of them every single day for over a full game year. Usually first thing in the morning when they are near the beds and then if I see the talk option is available outside I do that too. Sometimes they approach me with different emotions above their head and I think they are going to give me something but they never have.

• Was the major update 1.2 or 1.2b?
• After 1.2b, about how many in-game days did you play?
• Did you reach a new season (or more than one season)?
• When you reached heart level 5 with Smores and Marbles, was that before or after 1.2b?

I started the new game after the haunted house update so I believe it was 1.2b. I have played at least 5 seasons since the last hotfix but I can’t remember when I reached 5 hearts with either of them but it’s been at least a few season. I would guess 3 seasons but I am not 100% sure

Ahh, got it! So there’s a chance you were at heart level 5 across more than one season, yeah? 😮

Yes they are both level 6 now so they have been at least level 5 for a while now

Noted on this! Also, could you share what you were doing throughout the day in-game? The team will try to recreate your activities step by step in hope to find the cause! 😊

I start by talking to Charles until he runs out of dialogue and then talk to each of my pets. I then go check all my artisan places and go to my cellar to work on completing my mural requirements. Then I go let my coop and barn animals out and collect what they gave me and check on my fruit trees and plants. If I see my pets want to say something I talk to them and then go to tend my underwater crops and animals. By the time that is done it’s usually pretty late in the day so I either go diving or go into the caves depending on what supplies I am low on. Around 22:00-23:00 I head home and refresh my artisan things and use my selling box and possibly talk to the animals again depending on how much time I have left before midnight
