This is my second run through so this definitely isn't right. The first two times I tried to approach the stone to free the giant, he option to Inspect flickered for a split second then disappeared. I started a new day, restarted the whole game twice, stillt he same issue: no matter how I approach the stone, the option flickers for a second, I can't interact with it even if I do manage to move incredibly slowly, and nothing happens.
The quest also no longer appears in my log, and Mark even said 'did you notice a statue missing?' but all three statues are still there.

Every bit of the information helps the developers out in fixing the issue! Please note that the use of mods or any type of file alteration will result in the developers not being able to assist you!

So um, it turns out... I hadn't waited long enough for the chieftain to speak to me and give me the quest.... I just went in and did it
