Hello, just coming in to report that when I'm playing solo, whether it's actual solo or hosting a multiplayer world that hasn't had anyone join, I'm able to easily stick to 120fps with my Ryzen 9 5950X and RTX 4090. But as soon as 1 person joins my multiplayer world, it drops to 60. And then when the lobby is full my fps stays around 45 and I get stutters anytime someone enters/leaves a house, moves something, etc. Whereas the players that joined my lobby have no issues whatsoever.
#Host FPS Drops

Hi @jagged leaf , we're sorry to hear that you encountered this issue!
Would you mind recording a short video that compares your FPS in Singleplayer compared to when other players join your session? Please make sure the FPS counter is visible so we can clearly observe the difference. Thanks so much for your help—we really appreciate it
Oh and also! Could you tell us which platform the Host and Guests are playing from (Steam PC/Deck, Xbox PC/S/X, PlayStation 5)?
Hi! Thank you for the response! Sadly our group just got done for the night so I will try to get a video tomorrow for you. But all of us are playing on Windows PCs. My friends tell me they have a perfectly stable FPS. But in the video I get tomorrow you'll see my FPS as the host go from 120 down to around 50-60 as my friends join in.
I couldn’t for the life of me get a recording that would include the FPS overlay so I took it with my phone. I start at over 120fps and you’ll see it continues to drop as the lobby fills. Whenever friends exit or enter areas my fps will drop down to the 40s
Thank you for sending in the video! Would you mind also sharing your in-game graphics settings, including your FPS limit and graphics preset?
Graphics preset is Epic, FPS limit is 120. Have tested on all other graphics presets and no change from any preset
Well noted. Would you mind trying to adjust your FPS limit to 60 to see if the FPS would still drop when other players join?
Still the same. Once all players are in I hover between 45-50fps
Hello @jagged leaf I'm also part of the team and I'm here to follow up on the issue! Do you remember when this issue first started happening?
Did it already happen from the beginning when you were playing together with three guests?
Also, could you please share your save file as the host here? That would help us a lot with the investigation. Thanks!
Hi,
I haven't played much of the game. Me and my friends all started together for the first time on Dec. 26th so it's been an issue since then. I would love to get the save file for you, what is the typical file path for the save file? I checked where it's installed on steam and in the My Games folder but didn't find anything
To retrieve the files, you can copy-paste the following file path into your Windows Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames then compress the SaveGames folder into a ZIP file before sending it here, thanks in advance
