Randomly Crashing - Xbox Series S

Hello! First off, I’ve completely fallen for this game. I adore it so much. That’s why these random game crashes have started just breaking my heart to see happen. I can’t seem to find any rhyme or reason to it. They just started happening after getting the town to Rank E, mid summer on my first playthrough.

I’m playing via controller on the Xbox Series S. I own the game and am playing my own copy at version 1.2.25.0.

Before today, I had not experienced the issue at all. As a matter of fact, I’ve been absolutely loving everything about the game. However, now it consistently crashes after about 5-10 mins of playing, no matter what I do. I’ve tried deleting/reinstalling the game, clearing out the cache on my console, I’ve tried turning it off for a few minutes and coming back to it later. Nothing seems to be working.

I don’t have any screenshots or recordings of it crashing, because there doesn’t appear to be anything that’s causing it directly. It’s just… random. The only consistent thing is that the crash occurs after about 5-10 minutes.

If it just started happening today then it could be the holiday server strain that’s affecting all platforms

Ohh interesting! I hadn’t heard about that. I’m only like 2 days new to the game haha. Does the game utilize a server connection during solo play?

Yes. It’s affecting solo and mp. This holiday is the worst one as it causes immense server strain with it being such a big gifting holiday

Ahh that would make so much sense! Omg thank you for the likely explanation. It was really bumming me out to see it happen. I’ve gotten so invested in this adorable game and I worried I had a broken one or something. Fingers crossed the server load lightens and people are all able to enjoy it.

No! It’s not 100% what it could be but it is a likely candidate. I’d give it a few days (some time for the servers to lighten up) and see if it’s still doing it

Could you please confirm whether the game is working normally now, or if you’re still experiencing random crashes? We’d like to check whether this might be related to a server issue or something in the game triggering the crash 🙂

Hi! Thank you so much for checking in! I’ve actually had no trouble at all with crashing for the last couple days now! I gave it a few days, per the recommendation of VixiaChick above, and I think I waited out the storm, as it were. 😄

Happy to report my experience is back on track to enjoying Coral Island to the fullest! I appreciate you all so much!
