I’m sorry I don’t know what kind of evidence I could provide to help with this but on my most recent play through I’ve made it to town rank A. I saw the pufferfish building have to be evacuated and Karen admitting defeat and such, but the mayoral challenge never triggered. (If I remember correctly it should have triggered at town rank c?) No challenge, no cutscenes of them leaving fliers at the different businesses, nothing. Was that a bug or is the ‘mayor race’ thing getting erased?
