Crash after fighting group of monsters (PS5)

• **Title ** Game crash after fighting a swarm of monsters in savannah cave
• Reproduction Steps Had a swarm of monsters attack on a level in the Savannah Cave and then my character froze and everything from the screen disappeared apart from the picture. Music is still playing and the animations in the lamps are still moving. I can access the screen with my inventory etc but can't bring up the start menu
• Repro Rate First time it's happened
• Game Platform PS5
• Game Version Most recent (Dec 2025), I'm unable to bring up the start menu and there is nothing on my game screen
• Input Mode controller

So sorry that the freeze happened during your gameplay. Thanks for letting us know. 🙏

May I ask if you charged the weapon before the issue occurred? And did you use any Explosives on that floor previously?

No the weapon wasn't charged nor did I use explosives! I came into the level and it was about 6 monsters, 3 ogres and 3 bat things. It happened after I killed the last ogre, then I heard the hole to the next level open but by that point I had frozen

Gotcha, thank you for the clarification. Based on the video, it looks like the UI (inventory toolbar, date and time, etc.) disappears.

Could you confirm whether the UI was already missing when you first arrived on that floor, or if it disappeared only after the issue occurred?
Also, did you use or consume any items shortly before this happened?

No the UI was there when I entered the level! It disappeared after the monsters!
I had had a food item maybe 5 minutes before, in the level above

I was wondering if it was perhaps too much for the game to handle at once with all of the monsters rushing me and then me spamming square on my controller ?

When the freeze happened, were you able to leave the cave (for example by fast traveling or exiting normally), or did you have to force-close the game?

Also, since the date and time UI disappeared afterward, if you happen to remember, around what in-game time did this occur?

No I had to force-close the game! I wasn't able to do anything apart from go into my inventory and other tabs, as seen in the video!

I'm not actually sure of the time! If I had to guess it would have been evening. I retraced my steps after force-closing and by the time I was ready to hit the caves it was about 15:00 in-game time! Before the freeze I started at level 100 and only got through 3 or 4 levels before it crashed. The level I was on was a very small map, it just had one area

Hey @dull meteor, I've just seen a post on the Bug report thread and someone had the exact same issue as me but on Steam PC! They were even on the exact same level so I think I actually started on level 125 yesterday then made it to 135 and that's where I crashed after fighting the monsters! Not sure if this helps at all but thought I'd mention!
