#Book overlay on top of cutscene

Hello,
I'm playing with a friend, and I'm NOT the host.

I was at the library, starting to read a book. At the same time, my friend started a shared cutscene with the mermaid. IIRC it was the second mermaid expedition on the surface. During the final part of the cutscene, the mermaid where visiting the Goddess.

For me, I could read the book and finish it. Then, the cutscene could not continue. No animation started, the NPC didn't move and no dialogue started.
Fortunately, I could still skip the cutscene. Upon the next part (after a transition and a loading) the cutscene was working normally.

**Reproduction Steps **

  • Non host player reads a book
  • At the same time, the host player starts a shared cutscene.
    **Repro Rate ** I don't know. We didn't try again since we don't know when a shared cutscene is triggered and my friend doesn't share my passion in testing bugs so we didn't redo the day
    **Game Platform ** Steam,
    Game Version v1.2b-1244
    Input Mode Player A, host, mouse and keyboard. Player B, PS4 controller
    Your save file Can provide the host save file if needed
    **Attachment ** Can't give more than this screenshot

To look into this further, could you please share the host’s SaveGames folder here?
You can find it by copy-pasting this file path to the File Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames

You can compress the folder to a zip file before attaching it here.

Is this enough? He didn't put any backup inside, since it would be too much for the discord file transfer size limit.
Also, we are playing on his second farm.

This is a shared cutscene. We both got it at the same time.
Usually, when one player starts an "important" cutscene (I suppose for every main story cutscene), the other have a little text in the bottom left of the screen saying "A cutscene will play shortly". These are what I call "shared cutscene" since all the players have to watch it at the same time. It will also stop the clock.

Here, I suppose my friend (and host) started this shared cutscene while I was in the library reading a book.

While "a cutscene will play shortly" was displayed (I didn't see it because of the book selection dialogue option), I chose a book to read

And then, the shared cutscene started at the same time the book animation started.

The book display went on top of the pile and blocked the normal cutscene scripts

We didn't get a "shared cutscene" with the "a cutscene will play shortly" message, so we couldn't test it

We did try with the "cutscene" where you harvest your first mystical onion pet, but no bug occured

It's another shared cutscene (completing the 4th and final Orchestra). If the HOST starts the cutscene, and I the GUEST starts reading a book, the one reading the book will skip the cutscene in favour of the book.
We continued playing for 2 hours, and I never got the cutscene

After reading the book, the cut scene did NOT play

I'll try to go at the 4th orchestra to see if it'll trigger the cut scene again for me

Going back to the 4th orchestra didn't trigger the event again

I can interact with the bundle, see that it's complete, and that's it

I also got the 2 solar core as a reward for the 4th orchestra
