#Monster animation loop too long

Hello,
I'm playing with a friend, and I'm NOT the host. This bug/problem could probably also appear in single player, but I'm playing in multi so I'm posting it here.

Some animation loops are too long, which leads to some visual bug .

In the mine, the Armulite (turtle) is the prime example. You can kill it, but if it started his tongue attack before its HP reached 0, the whole attack will still continue. The aoe will display on the ground and the player can still takes damages. This also happens with other long attack enemies like the bat dude, the Sphekter (hornet like) and the snatcher (cat like). Way less with the other monsters.

Other times, it also feels like the monster can launch an attack during its death animation. Since the turtle has the longest death animation, I often see the problem with it.

Let's note that this was waaaay more frequent in v1.2-1242 and v1.2-1243.
The v1.2b-1244 version revamped the fighting system, adding hit feedback to the enemy monsters. This animation is shorter than the attack animation and tends to overwrite the attack animation, the problem is less frequent.

**Reproduction Steps **

  • Kill a monster just after it has launched an attack
    **Repro Rate ** Quite often, especially with the turtle, the bat and the hornet.
    **Game Platform ** Steam,
    Game Version v1.2-1242, v1.2-1243 and v1.2b-1244
    Input Mode Player A, host, mouse and keyboard. Player B, PS4 controller
    Your save file Can provide it if needed
    **Attachment ** Can record a video if needed

Hello @winter current thank you for the report! ould you let us know whether it appears that way only for the Host, the Guest, or both?

If you’re able to reproduce the issue, could you record a video so we can take a closer look? Even a simple phone recording is perfectly fine. Thank you so much for your help!

It's both for the host and the guest
But, trying to get footage, I realised my assumption was wrong.

  • When you kill a monster, there's a chance they start their attack animation after they die. They don't dish out damage

The problem I described was mainly during the previous version.
The version v1.2b-1244, the one released earlier this month, fixed all the issue I had and bugs I found with the mine and fight system
I still have the footage if needed, but there is no bug per se. You can close this ticket if you wish
