Legendary Fish Not Spawning

• Reproduction Steps - Go fishing in areas where legendary fish are meant to spawn, look for large fish silhouettes with sparkles before casting line. I am using Coral Wiki and Coral Guide to make sure the times are correct, but even the “any time/season/weather” ones in Deep Forest and Savannah are not spawning.

• Repro Rate - Every in-game day for the last in-game week, approximately. No fish silhouettes show up anywhere before casting the fishing line.

• Game Platform - PlayStation 5

• Game Version - v1.2b

• Input Mode - DualSense Wireless Controller

I’m on Winter 17 of Y1, and noticed this a few in-game days ago.

Also, the fish silhouettes in the Deep Forest pond area are partially obscured or don’t show up at all when casting a line. I’m not sure if I need to create a new bug report for that issue, or if the two might be connected? The fish silhouettes in that body of water were visible normally up until a few in-game days ago.

i’ve been trying to catch Yellow Moray Eel in the Deep Forest, and Red King Arowana in the Savannah. they’re meant to be available all year round, in any weather, but they’re not there for me anymore. i’ll update when i get to Spring, as to whether the other legendary fish for different areas show up after Winter. i think, right now, the only ones available are those 2 (except the Green Sawfish during snow/blizzard), so i can’t verify if it’s just specific areas yet.

someone else said that the new update nerfed legendary fish spawns, limiting them to only available twice a season? i couldn’t find anything about that in the update log though so i’m not sure if that’s true. if it is, i don’t know how i’m meant to know when those 2 days a season will be 🧐🥲

i’ve checked those areas during each time of day, most days during Winter.. so, morning, afternoon, evening, night. up until the past few in game weeks though, the sparkly fish silhouettes were there all the time, so i could spend an entire day switching between spots, since more would continue spawning as i caught them. now, though, every single time i go to check, there’s nothing there. even if i stay in that spot for a few in-game hours, nothing shows up, and when i fish, i never get any sparkly silhouettes, apart from the small ones that are usually coffers. hope that helps!

I'm having same problem that Legendary fish silhouette are not respawning (All Areas), but somehow after winter (which is new year), they spawn again, but idk if it will respawn again or not after i fish it. I'm on Steam PC.

Thanks for providing more details! Just to confirm, did you catch all the fishes you mentioned during Winter? Or did you catch some of them in the Fall as well?

yes, i caught most of the places, but the silhouettes stopped appearing after get caught for the season, only reappear after new year, but i didn't pay attention if it respawn after a season, is it supposed to be that way or there is x days will respawn?

Giant Stingray was probably in Fall, i don’t think it’s around in Winter. the other two were Winter. and i’ve had the same as Keeva, when the season changed to Spring, they started spawning again. i haven’t fished much this Spring so don’t know if they’ll stop spawning again if i catch a few of them. i’m also wondering if it is an intentional mechanic, but it kind of sucks if it is, because they help a little with earning money!
