stuck after cancelling watching tv

Title: as above - no buttons work. alt tabbing pauses the game, and i can use the mouse to click buttons in the menu, but my controller's buttons don't work, not even the sticks to move through options
Reproduction Steps: cancel out of watching tv with the B button, seems to be specifically Jenna's show about fish in year 1
Repro Rate: 100% so far
Game Platform: Steam
Game Version: v1.2b-1244
Input Mode: both mkb and controller

i waited for the day to end and my controls are still not working

ive loaded the game again and now the bug isn't happening...

well the first time it happened was at the start of the day - i turned on the tv, realised id watched the episode before so cancelled out and it softlocked me so i had to close the game to restart it

the second time was at the very end of the day after getting home at midnight and petting my friend, i accidentally turned on the tv and clicked the show again and it softlocked again

ive tried going in and out a few times now to get it to happen again
