Reproduction Steps
Fast travelled to Merfolk kingdom, went down toward the tattoo shop, when trying to go back up the stairs, I can't cross the top step.

Repro Rate
Haven't tried to go there again because I don't want to get stuck.

This issue has been reported before, but unfortunately we haven’t been able to replicate it yet since it needs a very specific condition! 🙁

Could you share everything you did beforehand, basically your full activities from the moment your character woke up? That way we can try to recreate the exact steps on our side! 🙂

Sure, I don't think you can actually sprint while diving, but I still hit space a lot, that might contribute.

~~As for what was done that day - woke up, on the upper floor of the house. Went down, harvested crops and items from machines e.g. cheese, mayonnaise, the thing that makes scrap out of junk, etc. refilled a bunch of those, let the animals out, picked up the items they dropped, then auto travelled to the diving pier, went down to speak to theo, went back up to the teleport point and used it to get to merfolk kingdom. I didn't talk to anyone there, just went straight down, hitting space out of habit, tried to go back up when I realized that wasn't where I wanted to go, and wasn't able to. ~~

I just replicated this again by waking up, fast travelling to merfolk kingdom, going down those stairs then up again. Didn't sprint at all this time. Should be reproducible with my save file that I attached. I'm not a mermaid yet, not sure if that contributes.

Ahh, it’s good to know you’re able to replicate it consistently!

If possible, could you record a video starting from when your character wakes up all the way until the “stuck on the stairs” issue happens? That would really help us out! 👀 ❤️

By the way, can you tell me which buttons you were pressing when going up and down the stairs? Were you pressing anything quickly or repeatedly at that moment? 😮

Nope, I play with a controller and was using the analog sticks like normal.

When you go up and down the stairs, are you pressing any buttons repeatedly? If so, which button are you using? 😮

Nope, no buttons repeatedly, just holding the directional key

I'm currently on vacation and do not have my computer with me, but I will return on February 14th and can check then

It does not persist on my steamdeck! It is reproducible with a controller on my PC though - so both keyboard and controller on my gaming PC, but not on the Steam Deck.
