Karen’s Cutscenes Not Appearing + Pets Not Moving After Update

I am at Year 2, Spring 21
Town Rank B: 406/700

I’m already at 209 hours of playtime, but I still haven’t gotten any cutscenes from Karen except for the one that plays when the Pufferfish building is completed. I’ve tried visiting the Blacksmith, Lab, Carpenter, Fishenships, General Store, and other locations. I’ve read that she’s running for mayor, but I’ve never had any cutscenes from her even though I visit these places almost every day.

I’m already at Town Rank B, and people say Karen’s story is supposed to finish by Rank A. I don’t want to increase my rank without seeing these cutscenes because they add important details to the game. NPCs keep mentioning the vines appearing, and I’ve also been visiting the Pufferfish office hoping it might trigger something, but nothing happens. I’ve checked the other shop locations too, but still no luck.

After updating to the latest version, my pets just stay in the same spot and don’t move anymore. Please help.

Regarding the issue with your pet, could you let us know whether they appeared in that spot right away in the morning or if they were able to move around before getting stuck? It would also be helpful to know how long you’ve seen them remain in that position

Hi @open agate, got it. Is it okay for me to keep playing, or should I wait for it to be fixed? I’m worried I might reach Rank A without seeing the cutscenes.

As for the pets, they can move around normally inside the house, but once they go outside in the morning, they automatically walk to that spot and stay there until evening.

Hey there, we're sorry for the delayed response! We’ve checked in with the team and can confirm that it’s safe to continue playing up until Town Rank B.
Once you reach Town Rank A, that storyline will unfortunately no longer be available, as it progresses to a different Pufferfish storyline.

However, if you’re currently Town Rank B or below, you’ll be able to view the cutscenes once the fix is released.
