Multiplayer Crashing on Xbox Series S

My husband and I have been trying to play Coral Island but every time he loads into the game, once he gets to the character loading screen to make a character he crashes every time. It doesn't tell him why he crashes either but it crashes him straight to his Xbox home screen.

We haven't had a game without issues unless it was singleplayer. We can never get into a game without him when he tries to join me or me crashing when I try to join his.

Just to confirm, has this issue been happening ever since the multiplayer release in version 1.2?

And if you don’t mind testing one more thing: have you tried using a different connection, such as a mobile hotspot, to see if the issue still persists?

Yes it has been happening since 1.2 came out. We were both looking forward to it. And we have used different forms of connections

For example, you using Wi-Fi while your husband uses a mobile hotspot?

No as my husband doesn't have hotspot

Could you please try playing as the Host on your own for one in-game day before the guest tries joining again?

After that, please try joining the session in two ways:

• Right after the Host wakes up, and
• After the Host restarts the session on Day 2.

These steps will help us narrow down what’s causing the issue.

We just tried both ways but still the same result crashes just at 4%

Hopping in to say I'm facing the same issue on Xbox Series X. My fiancee and I have both tried hosting a new farm, the host's game works fine and creates the game but when either of us has tried to join the other, that person's game will crash to the Xbox menu.

To help the team investigate this further, could you please share a short video of the issue in the current game version (1.2b-1245) showing what happens when one of you tries to join the host? A phone recording is totally fine if that’s easier.

This is what we've been getting every time. I did try joining a friend who was hosting on Xbox Series S on a different network and got the same result

Following because I am also having the same issue with my bf. Both Xbox series X, two different states, two different networks, doesn’t work no matter who hosts.

@coarse lodge I can try to get a video later when he is home, but we don’t even make it to the character customization. I will start a world, he will go to join, he will be able to see the lobby and see my character card for a few seconds but then the game just goes black and then you’re back on the Home Screen of Xbox. This only happens for the person trying to join. For the host, nothing happens. The host does not see the other person in the lobby or get any sort of message.
