#Hotbar item freezes

PS5, single player mode, build version v1.2-1243. Using controller.

When selecting different items with L2 and R2, especially if I'm switching through my hotbar quickly, it'll freeze on a place on my hotbar. My solution is to use chests and add or remove items until I reach the hotbar selected but that's obviously frustrating and not good.

This bug remains even after saving the next day. Only goes away after exiting the game, but I don't want to lose progress, so I play until the next day.

This happened 3 times in the past few days.

I heard you were working on a manual save, so that'd be nice.

Thank you so much for sharing this, and I’m really sorry you’ve been running into this issue, especially since it happens during normal switching with L2/R2. That definitely sounds frustrating. 🙇‍♀️

Did this happen on specific in-game days or after doing certain activities, or does it feel random so far?

Also, when the freeze happens, are you able to open the in-game menu, or is the hotbar the only thing stuck?

And yes - the team is indeed working on adding a manual save feature, which should help a lot in situations like this. It’s planned to be included in the upcoming 1.3 update. hey @gray fox,
I think so far it's been random, however the most recent day it happened to me was the day before I got the cutscene of the oil leaving the ocean and getting a letter from the mer king.

The three times it's happened to me were when I was quickly going into my inventory, sorting items, going into chests and leaving/retrieving things.

When the freeze happens, I'm able to access the in-game menu, open chests, give gifts, talk to people, literally everything normally - just that I can't switch from the hotbar.

UPDATE

I was playing again this evening, and as I entered a building (I think Randy's, Leah and Ling's house), I was switching through my hotbar. This then froze it. Also, this time I couldn't open the in-game menu, only the menu to resume, load and exit one. I can still do everything else normally, like gifting, hanging out with people etc,.

This was a day after the animal festival.

So far it seems that this happens when quickly entering/leaving buildings, chests, inventory menu, and things of an opening/closing nature.
