Game crashes to desktop when selecting "Hangout"

Hi, I'm experiencing a consistent crash whenever I select the "Hangout" option with an NPC named wakuu. How can i fix that error?

Before we investigate further, could you confirm if the issue happens when you play in multiplayer or single player mode?

Thank you for confirming. May I ask how many players are in your session, along with the platform each player is using (Steam PC, Xbox Series X/S, or PS5)? And are you the host of the session?

Also, were you playing with a keyboard & mouse or a controller when the crash occurred?

Number of Players: There were 2 players in the session.
• Platform: Both players were using Steam PC.
• Host: Me
• Control Input: Both players were using a keyboard and mouse when the crash occurred.
• Player Who Crashed: My friend (not the host) was the one who experienced the game crash.
