Does anyone know which is better, upgrading the raw materials then processing or putting artisan goods through?

Well, it’s actually better to just upgrade your crops at Ling’s and then process them.
Putting them through slime is too long - https://coral.guide/crafting/artisan/slimeoftransmutation
Example, grape from bronze to silver - 3hours.
Grape jam - 7 hours.
Grape jam in slime for one level - 3 hours.
So putting in a crop or artisan doesn’t matter, it’s just longer
