Hello guys 🙂
I started having this issue after a few days. My PC fans gets loud and just restarts. I tried reducing to Medium Quality Graphics, but it still does happen.

I couldn't play with latest versions of my graphics card (Nvidia GTX 1080 Game Ready) because after its patch in April it caused Coral Island structures disappear (for example Winter Festival gets totally broken). In consequence I rolled back to a previous version of the graphic card's driver 572.70 (Released on March). I tried playing with Nvidia Studio Video, but it causes jittering and also crashes. Apparently some gamers are having issues with overheating crash on PS5 according to a thread on Reddit.

I love the game, thank you for have developed it. Coral Island is the dream cozy game ❤️. PC Specs: Windows 10, GPU Geforce GTX 1080 8GB, 16GB RAM, Processor Intel Core i7 @3.4GZ 3.4GZ 64bits. Edit November 8th : The crashes that freezes everything and I need to restart the PC hitting reset power button doesn't generate Crash logs. It happened and there was no crash log available. The crash Report Client below is the last one available on file.

This is my last crash, but the overheating restart doesn't generate crash reports. If Devs have an interest about receiving other crashes reports (probably related to Nvidia Geoforce GTX 1080 Game Ready since its March update) I am more than willing to send them as well. Previous my graphic card drive update I have not experienced any crash or bug (such as structures disappearing) while running Coral Island 24/7, and no sign of overheating whatsoever while running other programs with my PC. I noticed that sprinting makes it worse, but the freeze and computer restarting automatically seems to be random. I'm keeping an eye and trying to identify more triggers. At the moment I run the game for a couple of hours (while using an external fan to keep it cooler), then turn off my computer. Ps.: The crash reports generated are mostly related to the Unreal Engine.

Hi @shrewd pumice,
Sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve encountered, and thank you for letting us know. 🙇‍♀️

Could you please share some screenshots of your in-game Graphics Settings so we can take a closer look?
Also, just to confirm — are you playing in Fullscreen mode, or using Windowed/Borderless when the issue occurs?

For basic troubleshooting, could you please try the following steps?

  1. Verify the game files through Steam — this helps ensure nothing’s missing or corrupted.

Here’s how:
-Open your Steam Library
-Right-click Coral Island and select Properties
-Go to the Installed Files tab
-Click Verify integrity of game files...

  1. If the issue still happens afterward, please try reinstalling the game to rule out any broken installation files.

Thank you so much for your patience and help! 🙏
