Reproduction steps: Buy a Golden Ring from the Band of Smiles and then go mining, chopping trees, clearing trash, etc and watch how frequently you are getting 100 gold. One of my friends and I tried the ring in our multiplayer game to see if it was worth the 1600 price and the answer surprised us both. We got the ring for him around the middle of spring year one. He wore it when he went to work on the bronze kelp area and we had enough to buy me a ring plus all the back pack upgrades before the day was over. I am wondering if the proc rate may have been intended to be around 5% and is actually triggering closer to 50%. I do not know if the rate you can get gold with the ring is or is not intended but figured should mention it.

No problem we just figured the massive gold influx we got from it was not intended heh. I think we had over 100k gold by the end of spring year one with a lot of upgrades done. I could not even imagine what a full 4 man group with that ring would end up with. We did not try double rings so can't say if they do or don't stack.

The ocean trash is definitely the biggest offender with the ring. Now that we are done healing the ocean we are not seeing the massive gold influx when looking just at my mining / hardwood harvesting runs. My team mate is doing a lot more farm work and the diving is more running through the areas harvesting kelp, critters, and scavenge now.
