Hi @hearty totem , thank you for reaching out to us! Could you send a screenshot or video of the error message that popped up after your attempt? And could you let us know which platform the Host and Guest are playing from (Steam PC/Deck, Xbox PC/S/X, PlayStation 5)?
@unborn magnet @normal radish https://imgur.com/VSwaHvq , https://imgur.com/d1ZZx8d these are the screenshots. We both play on PC through Steam. We tried verifying files and restarting and everything and tried both being hosts but it says the same error message all the time, nothing works. Would appreciate if this can be looked into .
It says connecting to server for like 30 seconds and then it gives the unstable connection message ( first screenshot)
it just started doing this from yesterday, before that everything was fine.
I have exactly the same issue ... I'm playing on PS5 and my wife can't join our mp session. I get the same error message as mentioned above by ItsZelix.
We played earlier today for a few hours without any issues, but in the evening it's not working again ...
We both have the current version v1.2-1243 and are playing on PS5 and PS Portal
Could you let us know which platform are the Host and Guest playing from (Steam PC/Deck, Xbox PC/S/X, PlayStation 5)?
And @hearty totem @verbal seal could you let us know if the Host and Guest are using the same internet? And whether you're connected to the internet via the LAN cable or Wi-Fi?
We're playing in the same network and via PS Portal (WLAN) and PS5 (LAN). We tried both ways, so Host on PS Portal and Guest on PS5 and also the other way round, but didn't solved our problem. We also check the internet speed and that was more then enough (download: 150+ Mbit/s, upload: 50 Mbit/s, latence: 20 ms). I could launch the host vie WLAN and via Lan, but the Gueast could never join.
However, I tried it a few minutes ago and it's working again, so I'd assume it was an issue on your server, maybe too many players at the same time =/ I'll check it in the evening again and see if the problem still occurs or if it's solved for me.
The host is on Wifi , i am on ethernet cable when i try to connect, but we are both on steam PC.
As of right now its actually working. Might be the server issues or something that got fixed . But it is earlier in the day maybe it changes later on or maybe its fully fixed now.
@unborn magnet It doesn't work anymore. It clearly has to do with the servers or connection to the servers , it worked just fine in the morning EU time and around early afternoon , now it doesnt anymore around 6 pm it says unstable connection. Either its getting overloaded or something cuz theres maybe more people playing and maybe it cant make a public host session.
Its a really serious and frustrating issue right now and its not on our ends.
Same for me ... Our connection is pretty good, even better then in the afternoon but it's not working now in the evening. So it's definitely not our Internet, it's pretty sure your server... Probably too many people that wanna play simultaneously....
Just for completeness: Download: 500+ Mbit/s, Upload: 20 Mbit/s, latency: 22ms
Where are you from and where is the host from?
Both Germany, we're in the same network, sitting on the same couch 🙈
with us , the host is from germany and im from slovenia, might be european servers or country specific ,very likely
Hi @hearty totem @verbal seal , thank you for sharing your findings with us. Could you confirm if you got the "Connection is too unstable" or the "Connection to Host was lost" error message when you were unable to join a Co-Op session?
Good morning,
my Guest gets the message: "connection is too unstable", regardless of the connection method (WLAN, LAN). On the host side I didn't had any issues.
Additional information: host and guest are using european server.
