Whenever I have tried to play the game, I am met with a black screen. I've never seen any part of the game outside of the menu. I have tried with both controller and K&M and after the black screen I have to use task manager to close the game.
PC Specs:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor
32 GB RAM
Installed on an SSD
I do have dual monitors so I was concerned that could have contributed to the issue.

Hi Jers! Can you try verifying the game files to see if that helps solve the issue? Also, are you able to see the photosensitive warning screen eventually or the screen is just black from the moment you click play on the game?

I can see the Photosensitive Seizure Warning and I can see the main menu - after I try to start a game the screen is totally black even after trying to verify the game files

Aha okay so its directly after the save file selection yeah? Were you trying to play on a fresh save file or an existing (previously played) one?

Either of those options lead to the same black screen and then a not responding game

Post the most recent update - I am still struggling with a black screen. I have tried verifying the files again and still no luck.

They shared a few things you can try!
First, press Windows + P and choose “More display settings.” It should open a window like in the attachment. Click on your main monitor and make sure “Make this my main display” is checked, then relaunch the game. If it still doesn’t work, could you try switching the game to Windowed mode and see if that helps? 😮

The video I sent actually was taken in windowed mode. It has happened in fullscreen and in windowed and it seems to happen regardless of which screen I set as my main screen 🥲

Ahh, thanks for clarifying! 🥲 Could you try the first solution instead? Also, have you tried updating your GPU to see if it helps with the black screen issue?

The first solution unfortunately made no difference with either screen set as my main screen and my I update my drivers very regularly and even with reinstall nothing has changed. I think I have had about two or three driver updates for my GPU since I first purchased FGS

You can copy-paste this file path into your Windows Explorer: %localappdata%\Funguys\Saved\SaveGames to find your save file

Can you try to run your save file on windowed screen and do not change window from the game at all until at least 5 minutes has passed, to see if the cutscene eventually plays? This will help us check the video stability on the device

Okay! This did not previously happen before but this is the first time I am trying post the most recent update but loading the save started a run. I still get no cutscene and it still leads to a black screen if I start a new save though

So you tried loading an available save file on windowed screen and were able to play. but when you make a new save (still on windowed screen), the black screen still occurs and no cutscene even after 5 mins waiting yeah? 😮
