Cannot Host Co-op Game or Even Find Friends Server (Steam)

Please Help 🙂 ..
First time tryin to play Co-op game with my friends, have been trying many times loading or creating new co-op game (Host) and ends up getting the error message.. while my friends can host a co-op game but unfortunately i couldn't find my friend's Co-op farms in the list..
Have tried reinstalling the game, checking steam verify integrity of game files, turning off firewall, changing internet and still getting the same result..

Same here, last night I can play with my wife, but exactly on 00.00 UTC+7 I disconnected from the game. Until now, we can't play co-op with error message -> my connection not stable. I played on PC and my wife played on PS5 on the same house and internet.

I am having this issue today with the same situation. Me on PC, other player in the same house on PS5. PS5 works just fine. We were trying to start a new game. He started a co-op game, it gave an error when I try to join with invite code. I tried to make a co-op game, and it pops up with the above message as well 🙁

I'm having same issue too. I'm trying to host game with my sister joining, both on Xbox.
I can get into the game for about 30 seconds then I get kicked with a message saying Internet connection unstable.
She tried creating a new farm on her end, but the invites don't work and the code tells me "Session not found"
Very frustrating.

Hi everyone @here, thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! Could you try to load the multiplayer game again and see if the issue still persists now?

If the issue is still happening, could you please share the ping for both the Host and Guest when the issue occurred? Also, if the Host relaunches the session or restarts the game, does the issue still continue afterward? Your details will really help us look into this further — thank you!

I'm not currently playing, but I will say that relaunching the game as the host didn't fix the issue right away. I relaunched maybe 5? Times before it was fixed. My friend, who was joining the game also often has issues with the game bugging out. She's sometimes unable to use her tools or her actions are limited. She constantly has reload.
She mentioned that changing her VPN seems to temporarily fix the glitches though.

I'll try playing another session later and report proper issues and send screenshots later

Its when you try to join a friends Co-op lobby, we tried every possible way to fix it , verfying files and everything but nothing works and its not possible to join the other person, only play solo.

I was able to host a game today and my sister was ble to join me. It was great. We played a solid 2.5 hours before my game crashed. After that she wasn't able to join again no matter how many times we restarted the game or restarted the Xbox
As the host, my ping always shows as 0, hers seems to range from 120 to 160, give or take a few. But codes, invites wouldn't work again.

I have exactly the same issue ... I'm playing on PS5 and my wife can't join our mp session. I get the same error message as mentioned above by ItsZelix.

We played earlier today for a few hours without any issues, but in the evening it's not working again ...

We both have the current version v1.2-1243 and are playing on PS5 and PS Portal

Only the singleplayer works as of now. I feel like it might has to do with the new update or servers or something.

Hello, when we had the issue , we were both using PC steam ( we are living together so same connection if that matters ). Yesterday was fine , we played from 13h to 16h00 (EUW ) without any problems , will try to host after the update

In my case, we aren't. We're in 2 different countries. But my friend would change her VPN to my country (or something nearby) to get the game to somewhat work anytime it started bugging out.

We're playing in the same network and via PS Portal (WLAN) and PS5 (LAN). We tried both ways, so Host on PS Portal and Guest on PS5 and also the other way round, but didn't solved our problem. We also check the internet speed and that was more then enough (download: 150+ Mbit/s, upload: 50 Mbit/s, latence: 20 ms). I could launch the host vie WLAN and via Lan, but the Gueast could never join.

However, I tried it a few minutes ago and it's working again, so I'd assume it was an issue on your server, maybe too many players at the same time =/ I'll check it in the evening again and see if the problem still occurs or if it's solved for me.

we are not using the same internet, host is from another country, the host is on wifi and i am connected via ethernet cable.

As of right now its actually working. Might be the server issues or something that got fixed . But it is earlier in the day maybe it changes later on or maybe its fully fixed now.

My sister and I are in 2 different states in US. I'm hosting on Xbox wired into my router, she's using her Xbox on wifi.
We were able to play again last night after hard restarting both our Xboxes. Hopefully that will last awhile?

@naive glacier Nope. It doesnt work anymore. I think its the servers definetely , it worked in the morning now its not anymore around 6 pm EU time.

I have the same issues as yesterday evening and the same error message ... Our connection is pretty good, even better then in the afternoon but it's not working now in the evening. So it's definitely not our Internet, it's pretty sure your server... Probably too many people that wanna play simultaneously....

my Guest gets the message: "connection is too unstable", regardless of the connection method (WLAN, LAN). On the host side I didn't had any issues.

Additional information: host and guest are using european server.

• Does the “Connection Too Unstable” prompt appear every time you try to join? Or did it only happen occasionally, for example: sometimes it connects fine, but other times it doesn’t (so it’s unpredictable) while using the same connection without changing anything?

We are 2 players (1 Host, 1 Guest) - but only the gueat has issues joining.

Yes it happens every time in the evening (issues are strating arround ~17 UTC). So it's working without any problems during the day but in the evening from ~17 UTC on the guest can't join and always gets the message "connection too unstable". I don't know when it ends, but we tried different times in the evening and the latest was ~21 UTC and the issue was still there. We retried it several times, but always got the same message and behaviour.
So it's really an evening thing for us, so we can only play during the day but not in the evening, when we normally have time =/

Noted! Could you let us know whether you're using a LAN cable or Wi-Fi? Have you tried resetting your router to see if it helps resolve the issue?

I hard wire in, I also reset the router, uninstall and reinstall the game, checked my firewall see if it was blocking it. Tried it all.

Another player has noted successful log in after changing IP address, could you try to play on a different IP address to see if resolves the issue? This would help us further troubleshoot the issue

My friend hosts a multiplayer game with me and another friend and when we play, it'll usually be okay for maybe a few days, and then my hosting friend will get an error disconnecting them and the whole game cuts out.

They said they get a black popup and then a message that Unreal Engine has crashed.

Could you give this article a try? We’re using Epic Online Services for the initial handshake of our multiplayer system (so it applies to Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation too), which might’ve made it seem a bit confusing since the guide came from Epic.
