#Weapon Stop Working

So I encountered an issue today where as I descended in the cavern my weapon stopped swinging? My pickaxe worked just fine, but I didn't try any of my other tools. It wasn't just one weapon either, I had two on me and neither worked. It happened on a few different in game days and weapons seemed to stop swinging about 4 levels in? That part I'm a little unsure of, I don't know if my weapon stopped the same number of levels in each day or not. I haven't tried to reset my game yet to see if that fixes it.

  • Reproduction Steps: As I descended into the cavern, about 4 levels in or so? my weapons stopped working, but my pickaxe worked fine; I' unsure about my other tools
  • Repro Rate: It happened each in game day I went into the cavern. Sleeping in game seemed to reset it. I could go back into the cavern and use my weapon for a few levels before it stopped. I haven't reset my game yet to see if this fixes it in any way or delays the issue.
  • Game Platform: Steam deck

  • Input Mode: Steam deck controller

  • Attachment: sorry, even with the instructions I'm not sure how to find my save file and I don't have a recording.

Also, did this issue occur during the Winter Festival period (Winter 17–21)?

As a temporary workaround, if you’d like to continue mining (especially for combat-related activities), please try doing so outside of the Winter Festival hours (before 5 PM or after 12 AM). Based on our current findings, this issue only occurs during the festival period.

If you still prefer to mine during that time, you can also set your Combat Mode to “Hit to Aggro”, so monsters won’t attack you by default, and you won’t need to use your weapon.
