After the update, I just can't really go to the beach and near areas (such as lookout, estuary, etc) because it feels like my game is about to crash. It's like I'm playing inside a slideshow, I don't know what's happening. If I'm inside Coral Inn, Beach Shack, Abandoned Villa and so on, it goes back to normal. Then when I leave, back to a huge fps crash. The other areas are normal so the problem seems to be with the beach and surrounding areas up until the beginning of the dock.

Hi @prisma tangle , thank you for reaching out to us! Could you let us know which platform you're playing from (Steam PC/Deck, Xbox PC/S/X, PlayStation 5) and your current game version?
Hello! I'm playing on steam PC & I downloaded the last update after Hotfix v1.2-1242, so I believe it should be the latest version. 🙂
I’ve had this issue before as well, restarting the game seems to fix it on my end, it’s caused by what appears to be an invisible boat causing a lot of water particle effects on the very far side of the dock.
Unfortunately for me, none of the times I restarted it seemed to help. 😔
Did you close out of the game completely, not just go back to menu? When in the game go to the end of the dock and see if there is a lot of particle effects where the boat usually sits.
I am curious if it is the same cause as mine
I see, have you tried verifying your file integrity to see if it resolves the issue? To do it, you can follow the steps below:
- Open Steam → Go to Library
- Right-click Coral Island → Select Properties
- Go to Installed Files → Click Verify Integrity of Game Files
- Restart Steam and try launching the game
