Opponent cow went ahead of start during Animal Festival

I was playing the game as normal on my laptop (PC). During the last race of the cow competition, Hiju, Lily's cow, went ahead of the start bell.

Input Mode: Keyboard and mouse

I am unable to recreate the bug. No Hiju or Lily in the repeat days.

I just had this happen to me. 3rd row (down) cow was almost halfway through the race before the rest were allowed to start

I've had that happen as well. 1 cow was halfway down before the last round started and I lost because of it. Mine I believe was Charles but it was the third cow as well.

Just reloaded and tried again. The cow goes while the ranking is still being shown. You CANT beat it

I would but id have to play through another year. It happens behind the screen showing the matchups. Always third row cow.

Same, one save is in fall and the other is in winter

Hello again @stuck goblet We need a bit more information to investigate this issue.
Could you please describe in detail what you did during the Animal Festival before joining the Cow Race?
This will help us understand the sequence of events and identify what might have caused the problem.

It didn't matter. One time I did nothing but the cow race, the others I did everything else first

I've tested this on the beta build and I haven't been able to replicate this behavior. Beta save attached v1.2b-2074 Only participating in the cow race and nothing else.

Also tried a second time doing the chicken staring contest first. Same result. unable to reproduce the issue in Beta.
