• since the newest update I have no sound when entering things into chests and also no sound when opening coffers or geodes I also have no sound when entering items into machines and lost a ostrich century egg

I came to report this same issue with the sound being broken on PS5 right after the latest update to v1.2-1241. No sound in the chest screen, when crafting items, or when learning a new recipe.

I came to report I’m missing the majority of sounds on PS5. Only sounds are the new milk sound, very low footstep sounds and music. No scrolling sounds, no crafting sounds opening sounds, conversation sounds or end of day sounds. I updated about 10 minutes ago

I also have the same problem on my PS5. I hear a continuing “wave” sound. I miss also the sounds that’s mentioned by the others.

I don't have a video but the only issue I am having is that there is a lot of sounds missing, and a strange wave sound when on the farm which I thought was the fish traps but not 100% sure the game volume seems to be really low even with my TV turned up I did get the new milking sound but missing the others mainly adding items into chests and opening coffers/geodes

Adding to say that this is happening on the PC Steam version, too.

Sound is very messed up and this is some of what I found:

• The bee houses make such loud noises as compared to the rest of the environment

• There is no sound from any of the UI. Ex: When scrolling usually there's a noise but now there's nothing

• No sound when putting things into chests or the shipping box

It's like the sound balance got messed up somehow.

Yeah the only sounds I've got are the weird squelchy wave sound, don't know what that is, and the milking sound effect, is that correct because it sounds funny and mechanical. Sort of reminds me of something from from GT Auto in Gran Turismo.

No cat noises, shipping bin noises, cooking noises, door noises etc

Yh, just hopped on with my bf to play and half the fx are gone. Mostly to do with pop up dialogues, on screen text boxes, interface interactions like the inventory stuff, interacting with pets, npcs, etc, bin noises, money noises, etc

I notice there are some sounds are missing after the latest update today (PS5):
(1) The sounds of opening door
(2) Sound of turning on fireplace and other campfire decoration
(3) Sound of turning on TV and sounds of conversation message text
I remember there is sound comes out when every conversation text shows out
(4) Taking out/storing items in chests. And placing items in sheds

Although i love those special sound effect when i using wrong tool to do something was disappear ...but i very miss all major lovely sound effect before the update. lol

Hi, some stuff to add to the above, another issue both my partner and I have noticed in our games (separate save files)

• The same sound issues listed above
• The heart colors next to the character names are off. Having 7 hearts with Scott and 6 hearts with Rafael are showing the wrong icons compared to what's shown on the wiki - Rafael's shows a green heart(?) and Scott shows the 5 1/2 heart color
• Several characters have had dialogue I recall seeing from way earlier in the game (Like Scott talking about socks disappearing)
• Not sure if it's a bug like the rest or related to this update, but got the achievement for gifting every townie when I've only gifted repeatedly for like 4 of them

There is no sound when it comes to pets you can hear a petting noise when you pet them but that's all. Farm animals make noise if you milk/sheer them they also do their normal quacking, mooing, ect noises

My partner and i were playing ok with just a few disconnections earlier today (also after the update), took a break, and now a few hours later he can't even open the server. He is the host and keeps getting a "lost connection to the host" error 💀

Hi! I just wanted to report that after the most recent hotfix (around Oct 19, 2025), all of my UI sounds are gone — like the clicking sounds when navigating menus, putting items in boxes, or opening chests.

Everything was working fine before the update. I already tried restarting the game, verifying files, and checking audio settings, but the issue still persists.

Seems like this update might have accidentally removed or muted some of the sound effects (same as other players reported).

Yup, hay tile is definitely weird.
Having both the sound issues and the hay tiles not showing up right. The sounds issues were there when playing multiplayer with my friends, and then yet again on my solo save. Sounds not working (that I've distinctly noticed)

• inventory sounds and sounds when putting stuff into chests
• not playing the sound when clock strikes midnight (I'm depending on that alarm sound when I'm lost in some tasks at night)
• minigames at the winter festival are completely silent
• also have constant water sounds that I just noticed now (could be coming from the fishnets I've placed all around)
• no sound during cut scenes (no music, only ambience from the surroundings)
• no sound effects when talking to people (the dialogue box)
• no sound from my pet cat when interacting with them
• no sound effects on the end of day screen
• no reward sounds when collecting rewards or eating stamina fruit
  (will add more later if I come across anything else, but it's basically half of all the sounds)

• No dropping of stuff in chests in either zone (water/land)
• No teleportation sounds going, yet arriving I can hear it.

• No music in the land part
• No purchasing sounds from vendor

Updated: Can hear sounds and music in cutscenes, not the prompt sounds from moving dialog bubbles
Also can hear everything in the mines

The sloshing sounds are definitely from the bamboo fish traps and I can hear them everywhere I go on my map. I don't know if it's been mentioned but the graphics on the TV flicker now.

As far as I know they are. We’ve played through from the beginning—I’ve gotten the prompt “||do you want to have a baby?”||, but she got hers first. I thought all multiplayers have that option in 1.2! Our only issue is her baby went from mocha to ivory after the update😂

ohhh yeah me and player 1 are "married" and we both have had the promt for baby but my hearts have been locked for both bubs and the bubs never seem to grow. and for player 1 the hearts never unlock either.
